Omountain Homes, LLC is proud to offer homeowners an alternative to drilling a water well. Most people who live in the central Texas area are well aware of the water challenges faced by living in a semi-arid climate. This area experiences periodic droughts that compromise the area's aquifer. In recent years as more and more people have drilled into the aquifer, our primary source of water, our droughts have increased in frequency. As a result there has been many water wells that have gone dry. Once a water well begins to pump air, the well is no longer viable. There are basically two options available if you live outside of a municipality. One option would be to drill another well, with no guarantee of success. The other option would be to install a rainwater collection system.

Rainwater collection is a method of collecting the rainwater that falls on your roof and into your gutters and channeling it into a storage tank. Attached to the gutters are sealed PVC downspouts that feed into an underground trunk line (larger PVC pipes) that are attached to the storage tank. Once the rainwater is collected in the tank, it is pumped through a series of sediment filters and an ultraviolet light chamber, effectively sanitizing the water for use in your home. There are many advantages to this kind of water delivery system and OMountain Homes would be happy to provide a free consultation explaining the many benefits of installing a rainwater collection system.
